HR Round Table Series Kicks Off with Multi-Generational Hot Topic

Global Consulting Firm’s Workforce Issues and Program Successes Result in Measurable Bottom Line ROI

London, UK – October 2nd, 2008 - Insala, a leading global provider of talent management software, has announced the successful kick-off of the first human capital round table series lead by author W. Stanton Smith, Deloitte’s National Director of Next Generation Initiatives. The event, held 24th September, focused on research in his recently published book, “See Decoding Generational Differences: Fact or Fiction…or Should We Just Get Back To Work?”

Key points raised by Mr. Smith centered on the varying generation’s perceived differences and likeness, their views of the world, skepticism of big business in the current economic climate and how that affects work and life priorities and career decisions impacting current and future talent pools. The London – based round table discussion is just first in a series planned to focus on a multitude of human capital issues to be discussed by leading corporate HR practitioners, career management consultancies, outplacement consultancies and academics.
Corinne Mills, Monster HR Careers Spokesperson comments, “It’s clear that employers are going to need to come to terms with the expectations of their young staff, if they want to attract and retain what will be an increasingly scarce resource. The lively round-table format was informative and well worth attending.” “Stan’s presentation was genuine and his anecdotes were peppered with humor that attendees could relate to. He demonstrated how Deloitte’s Next Generation programmes have made a measurable difference with tangible ROI for his organisation. He offered encouragement and concrete strategies for organisations to deal with multi-generational issues,” says James Carter, Business Development, UK and Ireland, Insala.

The morning’s round table discussion was followed by a VIP book signing event, also sponsored by Insala, at the prestigious St. Martins Lane Hotel in London. Insala’s CEO, Phillip C. Roark, facilitated the round table event and was the host of the book signing.
Mr. Roark shared, “Working with Stan for the past six years has given me the personal opportunity to see his research and cumulative efforts come together and significantly benefit Deloitte and their employees. Insala and I are pleased to be associated with Stan and assist him on his journey of careers, talent and next generational research.”
